IT’S LOVE O’CLOCK
Isn’t love just love?
February is universally considered as ‘The Love month’. Different businesses, organizations and persons have differing ideologies on how love should be expressed and shared.
There are 7 types of love; Eros (sexual or passionate love), Storge (love between parents and their children), Agape (universal love) Ludus (playful or uncommitted love) Pragma (practical love founded on reason or duty and one’s longer-term interests) Philautia (self-love) Philia (brotherly love).
‘I love you’ is the second most abused phrase from ‘I’m fine’. This two phrases are simultaneously similar and different. Similar in that, some people use it to mask the truth and when used in the correct context, it makes the difference. We are going to focus on two most controversial types of love. Eros and Ludus.
Here is an exercise for you. Picture someone you feel a ludus or eros kind of love for. Okay, now picture telling them “I love you”. Depending on some variables in the relationship, one holds more weight and is more heart felt. True or false? Can you explain why?
Love is just a primitive hormone for us in order to re-produce to avoid extinction. Some have argued. Yet, others strongly believe that love is life. It makes one feel more alive and gives purpose to our existence. What is the ideal concept of love? Talk to us.
